31 Weeks

Still growing rapidly, Ryder is now about 3.5 pounds and 18 inches long. We had an appt on Thursday and my tummy is measuring right on the dot for how far along I am and the baby's heart is still sounding healthy. When the doctor was searching for his heartbeat, he gave the listening device a good kick or shove each time it slightly intruded on his space. This made it tough for her to be able to tell his position, but he has a few weeks yet to get that head pointed down. Also, on Thursday, Shawn and I went to Peninsula Point Park in Anoka for a picnic (where he proposed) and he took this 31 week picture with his cell phone :)

30 Weeks

Woohoo! 30 weeks along and only 10 to go! At this point, Ryder has reached 3 pounds. Yesterday I set out for a morning run - both for the exercise and to see if I could still do it (I've mostly been walking over my lunch hour or doing the elliptical at work). And even though it was tough, it went great. If you haven't tried running while pregnant, it pretty much feels like running while wearing a backpack filled with sand and weights strapped to your ankles...uphill. So why do I still do it? Since in-line skating, mountain biking, wakeboarding and so many other things I love are not allowed during pregnancy, running is one of the few activities that I normally enjoyed that I can still safely do now.

29 Weeks

This past weekend Shawn, Nick, Laura and I went camping at Amnicon Falls in WI. It was a whole new experience camping while pregnant (getting in and out of the tent and changing in a tent where you can't stand up become quite difficult at this point)...but we had a great time :)

28 Weeks

A huge thank you to my wonderful sister Christy (and my mom, Laura & Martina!) who threw a huge shower for little Ryder this past weekend. I think he now has everything a baby could want or need! At 28 weeks, our little one is now about 2.5 pounds and almost 16 inches long.
