TWO!

I can't believe our little baby is two today!! It has been the fastest, most challenging and most rewarding two years of my life :) Love you Ryman!

Swimming Pond

 Last night we played at the Maple Grove swimming pond.  We loved it!  Mom's favorite part was that it was shallow a long ways out.  Ryder's favorite part was all the splashing and jumping he got to do!  And every time before he'd jump, he'd say "mommy, picture ("ti-cher")" - over and over until I got my camera out :) lol!  So here are a few of his jumping splashes:

We also had a picnic before swimming...trying to savor these last weeks of summer!

"Mommy, Watch"

Ryder's favorite new words are "Mommy, watch!"  When I look, I may find him standing at the edge of a step, ready jump off or on the arm of the couch ready to launch himself into the cushions.  Then, the other day, I saw him trying to scale his dresser like it was a rock climbing wall! 

I am going to have to keep a close eye on this one...it seems his is going to be just like his daddy...

Alexandria

Ryder and I spent the weekend at my friend Sara's cabin in Alexandria.  (Dad was away at a bachelor party - also in Alex.)  We had a super fun, active weekend!  We started with a 20 mile bike ride, then spent the rest of the time near / on the water :) Sara was great at catching photos of Ry and I:

Ryder's first kayak ride! He totally loved it! He sang "row, row, row your boat", loved to go through the reeds and would grab / shake the paddle if I stopped for a moment.  So much fun :)

We owe a huge thank you to the Ferguson's for having us up to their beautiful cabin, showing us around the lake and being so accomodating with Ryder!

Crafty Mama

I love to "create" things...something I work on and have a final product to share.  Architecture, photography, card-making...This tee shirt idea (freezer paper stenciling) was from another blog I came across, but I totally love this latest creation:

Another "Sick" Day

I was home again with my little boy on Wednesday because daycare thought he was sick.  Lucky for me, I was able to spend the afternoon with my healthy, happy Ryman.  He was excited to help me cook and I was super excited to try two new recipes: mandarin chicken salad and cherry jam :)
