Arizona | Day 1

We caught a 5:50pm flight out of MSP, had Subway for dinner, and made it to Vegas around 7:30pm.

The kids didn’t sleep on the flight, but Breck played nicely with toys in his seat and the other boys used the Delta Kids games and their iPads for an easy flight. I was able to watch a movie, though Breck did request me to “pause it, mama” a bunch.

Brecken was looking for Nana since we were up in the sky, too...

Even though we landed at 7:30, by the time we took the shuttle to the rental lot, hit our Starbucks, and made the 2 1/2 hour drive, we didn’t get to Havasu until 11:30pm Arizona time (1:30am Central time).

The highlight of the evening (second to late night welcome hugs from Grandma Sue!), was the van upgrade! We elected not to reserve one because it was so much more expensive than a car.  But we lucke out with one being in the Hertz Gold row. The kids and I saw Shawn walk up to it ahead of us and we had a mini celebration in the parking lot. High fives and all. Even Brecken was excited - ha :)

A long, but smooth travel day.

The Little Things

Breck was home sick today, but he was feeling better than the past couple days so we were able to enjoy some art together. He is so patient and likes his workspace tidy :)

I love this easy-to-please age.

Ski Jammers

This winter we signed Logan up for Ski Jammers for the first time.

He took a bus from a local ski shop to a different ski area each week. He spent all day with an instructor and a few other kids at his level.

Throughout the 8 week program, he never complained about having to gear up and leave the house early, he napped the whole bus ride back home, and came back in such a great mood, happy to tell the family about his day.

It was expensive, but after a few classes, we could see his confidence and control (a big thing to me) on our Aspen trip. I also think he loved having something to do that was just for him - a special privilege.
