Week 9

This week, Ryder is unofficially 13 1/2 pounds. It was a tough week for mom because dad started traveling again for work. I think Ryder missed him because he was a little crabby all week! But we stayed busy visiting lots of family. Ryder made his first "coos" using his voice to talk to Great Auntie Dawn Weds night and is getting great at supporting his upper body during tummy time. This is also Ry's first Halloween - and as a treat to mom and dad, he went 8 hours between feedings Halloween night!! :)

Getting so strong!

Just a little off the top please...

Happy to be clean!

Week 8

We stayed pretty busy this week - we watched the Vikes game with Grandma and Grandpa Anderson, hung out with cousin Autumn during the day, visited with Grandma and Grandpa Billing, went on a hike at Elm Creek with the Tisdell fam, and met Great Auntie Dedee and cousin Isabella. Ryder is continuing to smile and has started to bat at some of his hanging toys. He can't grab them yet, but I'm sure it won't be long. He's also starting to grow the hair back on the top of his head...though the back and sides are still much longer than the top. We'll be excited when it's all one length :)

Week 7

Woohoo! I got the okay to run on Friday...and to do any other type of athletic activity! So on Sunday, I went out for my first run and it felt fabulous - I felt so light and free. We spent this past weekend up in Walker and Ryder was finally able to meet Grandma Sue! He enjoyed her yummy cooking and had a great time walking around the shops in town :) Ryder has had a little cold the past few days, but is still sleeping great even with his congestion (he's moved out of the bassinet and into the crib! Doing great with the transition). And he's gaining weight just fine, too. He weighed 11 pounds 8oz on Tuesday! He's also started to smile in reaction to us. I just LOVE it!

Week 6

It's been a great week at the Billing house. For the big Monday night football game, Ryder got together with his buddies Everett and Autumn. They helped cheer the Vikes on to their victory over the Packers :) Then, last night, Ryder woke to eat in 4 hour increments, letting mom get some great rest! Let's hope that continues. His head now measures 16" (14.5" at birth) and he is 23.5" long (20" at birth). Also, I was able to slide my wedding ring on yesterday for the first time since I was 16 weeks pregnant! Woohoo! I can't get it off now, but I'll worry about that later :) Hopefully more exciting news is to follow - I have a doctor appointment tomorrow and I'm crossing my fingers they'll give me the okay to run again!

Week 5

It was a big week for Ryder: his first trip on an airplane to visit his grandparents and auntie in Indiana, then we came back home for his first wedding and to cheer some friends on who were running the TC 10 mile and marathon! He was absolutely perfect for all 3 events. We're so glad he likes traveling already!
