No Fear

So, we used to have to keep Ryder under constant supervision to make sure he didn't put things in his mouth or get into anything hazardous.  We were comfortably beyond that stage.  Now, we're back to constant supervision...I didn't even see this one coming...Thankfully Shawn did, so he could run over and spot Ryman.

I guess Ryder looked at the ottoman, smiled, then looked back at the chair.  He then put all his blankies ("de-dees") on the chair and fluffed them up.  He climbed up onto the ottoman (which was a little ways away) and started counting...1...2...3!

*I have been meaning to post this for a while and figured since I've been slacking a bit lately, now would be a good time to hit "publish"! :)

Fat Tire 2011

Last weekend we traveled up to Spooner, Wisconsin for Shawn's 40 mile mountain bike race.  Saturday was a perfect, crisp and sunny fall day to be biking...and to be cheering.  Ry and I (along with other friends) traveled along the race route to encourage our racers all the way to the finish line.  We also spent lots of time playing in the hotel pool and had a huge bonfire Saturday night.

"Gooo Dadddy!"

Saturday night's bonfire - after the big "chimney" log was added

Ryder and Liam with their cool "swords".  I have to upload a comparison photo of these kiddos - I can't believe how much they've grown each race year!

 Bonfire fun :)

Itasca

Last weekend we drove up to Itasca State Park for a friend's wedding reception.  We spent one night at the campground, but weren't brave enough to try night #2.  Our little boy is waaay too loud in the mornings for this super open, super quiet campground.  But we did enjoy the time playing outside, time with friends and visting the Mississippi Headwaters.

Ry playing in the cart for our "cart-in" site...which actually only ended up being 20 feet from our car - lol! Note the freezer-paper stenciled tee :)

Good times playing outside

When we made it to the headwaters (after the late afternoon BBQ wedding reception), Ry fell asleep on the short walk from the car to the water!

But, the good parents we are, we woke him up so he wouldn't miss this exciting "first"! :) Based on his expression in this photo, I think I was a little more excited than he was...

And with Daddy

Our second night was much more relaxing - we drove to Walker and spent the night with Grandma Sue and Grandpa Roger.

Heading to the Walker City dock to enjoy the beautiful Sunday morning!

Indiana

We just got back from FIVE super fun days in Indiana.  Here's how we spent our time:

We spent lots and lots of time in the pool...

The kids took their first ride on 4-wheelers (and LOVED it!!)....

We played with friends...

We ate lots of yummy food...

And spent a good amount of time giggling and being silly...

Thanks for having all of us for the long weekend Mom, Craig & Mikayla! We had sooo much fun :)
