Quiet Week

It's going to be a quiet week or so in Blogger as we do not have internet again (we were using the previous owners service).  I am also out of texts till the 4th and we don't have cable! Ha! So a little forced relaxation ;) It's kinda nice :) Be back soon...

Logan's First Birthday Party

With selling our old house, buying a new one and my licensing exam, we held off on celebrating Logan's birthday until last weekend.  That way some of our family could see our new house along watching Logan dive into his smash cake.  More about our one year old in the next post.  In the meantime, I have some cake pics that I also posted on FB:

Right Now

It's so late, but on days that Ryder naps, he seems to have a hard time falling asleep.  I finally went in to his room just now to convince him to fall asleep.

Me: "Close your eyes, Ryder.  No talking."
Ry - in a quiet whisper: "Mom, lets talk about sports."
Me: "No talking."
Ry - still whispering / testing: "Logi's up to bat...he hits the ball...and it's a home run.  My turn, the pitch, I hit the ball...I'm tagged..."

Uh! Soo hard to not jump into that little fantasy world with him!!  Sometimes, even when they're mis-behaving, they're so stinkin cute!

More to come on Logan's birthday weekend!  And turning one in general!  ...after Wednesday...

Little Swimmers

Yesterday morning, we set up the pool and let the water warm up all day with our 93 degree air temps! After work, it was the perfect temperature for our little guys to swim!

Happy Mothers Day

A few photos of our family time in our neighborhood today...we just love the awesome paths behind our house!! It's unreal how beautiful it is, steps from our neighborhood...

Also, these are the only photos of this mom with her kids today! But at least it's apparent we spent the day having fun together :)

I also enjoyed sleeping in until almost 9am, a veggie egg-white omelette, lunch with Nana and Bumpa, and an afternoon nap! (Thanks for holding down the fort, Ry, while the rest of us slept!!)

One other photo note (Blogger's app doesn't allow them below pics): On the path, Shawn is whispering to Ryder...asking him if he sees the cardinal. Ryder responded, shouting "Cardinals play baseball!" Lol! Yes, Ryder, they do...

#8 of 8 - Structural Systems

Last night I dreamt about deflection, earthquake forces and lateral forces...I think I literally woke up mumbling equations. I wonder if this counts as study time?!

In case it doesn't, I have 53 pages of FEMA (seismic design) on my agenda for the evening, accompanied by expresso and Bon Iver on repeat. I would be beyond excited if these next 11 days of studying we're my last!!
