Lake Havasu

We just got back from a fun family vacation visiting Grandma & Grandpa Burley in Lake Havasu.  Here are a few photos from our long weekend:

Overdue for a haircut - luckily grandma came to the rescue!!

Roger & Shawn after an afternoon playing in the desert

We took the boat out on the water yesterday for lunch.  On our way back we drove through Copper Canyon (above) and the canal (below). The water was super clear and a beautiful teal color!

Ryder was sooo excited to get out on the boat - mom and dad loved it, too :)

Thanks so much for having us out Gma & Gpa Burley!! We had such a good time :)

Up Late Studying...

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, but I have been cramming for my 6th license exam.  (I think all that studying has rubbed off on Ryder!)
With that out of the way, I am excited to shift my focus to completing the baby's room.  Once the nursery is ready, I can take test #7.  But for now, I'm looking forward to making up on the family time I've missed the last couple weeks :)

Friday Fun

Ahh...naptime - a little bit of time to myself (I wonder if this time will ever exist once we have two kids??).

Here are a few fun photos from our last two Fridays:

Ryder's first visit to a gymnastics gym!
And even though we had a few obstacles this morning (including a soaked diaper and no spare pants...thankfully I did bring a spare diaper), we were determined to get in for some playtime.  They had the whole gym set up just for toddlers & preschoolers :)

My brave pants-less little man about to jump into the foam pit

Our Valentine's art project

Painting - we do this a ton - he just loves it! My favorite part was when I asked him what color he wanted next and he answered "Go Vikings!" as if that were the actual color.
So I guess we have "rojo", orange, yellow, green, blue and "go vikings"

Last Friday, we went to the Como Conservatory & Zoo.  He was not in the mood to pose for pictures (too much to see!), but I grabbed a couple.

I feel so lucky to have this extra time with my little man :)

24 Weeks

Since I kept such a good log of Ryder to date (and ended up importing it to a blurb.com book), I thought I should do the same for this baby :)  24 weeks have flown by!  And with all I have planned to accomplish before this baby's born, I'm sure the last 15 (yikes!) will fly, too.

We are super excited to meet this little one, but I'm enjoying bringing him along everywhere I go - work, studying, yoga, errands - and just feeling him kick and wiggle all day as part of our family already.  I feel so good right now that if he wasn't moving constantly, I would forget I was pregnant (well, other than the fact that I can only button 2 pairs of pants now!)

With my goal of completing 2 more license exams (all 3 would be amazing) and changing the guest room into the nursery, I am spending as much free time as possible chipping away at these two things.  It's not exciting yet, but here's our progress:

Yep, the closet - lol.  But I have big plans! And look at how tiny these clothes are!!

Here's a look at our baby boy's growth this week:
