Hurds Acres

What a way to kick off summer!! We just wrapped up an entire week at Hurds Acres!

We stayed in Cabin #1 and had friends in Cabin #2 for part of the week.

We had perfect temps (mid 80’s) and tons of sunshine. It was so nice to unplug and just play with the kids everyday. 

We spent lots of time hanging on the sandy beach…

Boys fished off the dock and from the boat…

We took the boats to Zorbaz three times…

Caught amazing sunsets…

Played with their friends…

We did lots of kayaking…

Went jeeping on the Teepee Lakes trail…

Carrie and I went paddle boarding…

We visited Portage Brewing in Walker and Revel in Park Rapids…

The kids floated down the creek half a dozen times (I did, too!)…

We played Jenga pretty much every day…

We hiked at Itasca State Park and did the nature scavenger hunt…

Had a bonfire and s’mores every night…

And just enjoyed hanging out…

A successful week at the lake!!

Easter 2021

With the beautiful weather this weekend, we were able to have an Easter gathering outside in our driveway. Lawn chairs, bean bags, and plenty of sunshine. Might have been one of the only times my Dad, Laura, Christy and Britt have been able to get our families all together since Covid shut downs began. Logan also stuffed and his eggs for his cousins to find.

Then this morning, the boys spent about 40 minutes hunting for their Easter baskets. Ryder’s was under the island, Logan’s was in a cooler next to the basement fridge, and Brecken’s was hanging in his locker cubby behind a sweatshirt.

Today we’ll dye some eggs and hopefully get out for a bike ride in the 75 degree weather.
