Week 18

He just keeps growing and growing! In the past week, Ryder has started to be able to hold toys and bring them to his mouth. He can also shake his rattles and hold his bottle all by himself!

Week 17

Mom is back at work this week and it's actually gone quite well. Having Grandma Debi watch Ryder at our house the for first couple weeks has made the transition much easier (especially with her email and photo updates of Ryder's day!). Though each day that I come home, I'm pretty sure I can tell he's grown! He has also been sleeping through the night for the last week and a half...from about 8:30pm to 5:30am. Then he goes back to sleep after that 5:30am feeding. Such an angel! Happy Hoildays!!

Week 16

Today we had our last playdate with cousin Autumn and Grandpa Bob. It will be tough returning to work next week, but Shawn and I have found a great daycare for Ryder and know he'll be well taken care of during the day...

We know Autumn - it's no fun being all strapped down. Hopefully you enjoyed a nice nap on the car ride home :)

Week 15

Ryder went with cousin Autumn to meet Santa this week! He also went with to pick out his first Christmas tree :)

I know you think I can't see it under all this fleece, but this tree is the one Dad!

Week 14

It's only Monday, but I had to post this cute picture of Ryder meeting his new friend, Dylan. It won't be long before they're running around causing trouble together. Hopefully Autumn will step in as the voice of reason... Also, Ryder is 3 months old today!

Week 13

Ryder met many family members this week! He met Great Uncle Rick, Second Cousins Nikki & Alex, Grandpa Burley, Uncle Jesse & Cousin Logan. He also had a more significant haircut. Mom was very hesitant at first, but finally gave in to Dad's pleas...and it actually looks much better now that his hair is all an even length (versus being long in the back and super short up top!). Ryder is also gaining better control of his hands. He can bring things like blankets and fingers up to his mouth to suck on them and can grab onto hanging toys. Unfortunately, in finding his fingers, he's found his thumb, too! My favorite thing from this week is that he's started to giggle! He has the best squeak of a laugh and even lets out a little chuckle now and then. I love it :)

Week 12

We spent the early part of this week in Cali, coming home Tuesday night. I took Ryder for a jog in his Chariot Wednesday morning (he fits great in it now) and then we played with his friends Autumn and Everett in the afternoon. We are sure going to miss our weekly playdates when I go back to work. However, it looks like I'll have a couple extra weeks home with Ry, so we can savor a few more of them. This week, Everett was teaching his little friends how to climb into the bouncy seat all by themselves. Autumn and Ry were fascinated by Everett's talents and watched him intently - it was hilarious! That evening, Grandma and Grandpa Billing came over and let mom and dad go out to dinner - so nice! On Thursday, we went up to Andover to visit with Autumn and Grandpa Anderson. Such a fun, busy week so far!
