Ryder's 1st Day of Preschool!!

Today was the first day of Ryder's Friday preschool...

He was a little excited and a little nervous...

But his teachers, Miss Gayle and Miss Sue are so nice...

Afterwards, we grabbed a bench at the community center (outside his room) and he told me aaaalll about his afternoon!!  He had so much to say!!  They're in a space unit, so they made rockets today. 

We ran a couple errands on the way home and Ryder told each cashier all about his preschool experience :) 

He seemed like he matured in just that couple hours...until he fell asleep in the car...then he looked like my baby again :)

During the class, Logan and I enjoyed one-on-one time at the Maple Maze (don't tell Ry!)

Homework [Updated]

Yikes! Forgot about our preschool homework!  It's due in 2 hours, so we're hard at work during Logi's nap time!

Ryder finished his homework (self portrait) and I finished mine (paperwork, forms to the doc's office to sign and first day pics!):

State Fair 2013

                                  This year, we went to the fair on Ryder's actual birthday!

                         Best booth: the mini Target Field! Ryder got to play baseball at the fair!!

                        He hit the ball on the third overhand pitch...and ran all the way home!

Flashback

Logan and I played in the sprinkler last night while Ry and dad watched Monday night football.

Reading Nook

I love that these guys enjoy books.  Set up a little reading nook after returning from the library today & Logan snuggled right in :)

Bonus Day with the Kids

Our daycare has been closed all week.  The boys usually go to a back-up home daycare together when their primary daycare is closed and do pretty good because they know her.  But this week she could only take Ryder.  So we had to split the boys and send one to the back up home daycare and one to the center.  They both missed each other so much (Ryder cried for Logi and Logi cried most of the day...I think because he was with all strangers all by himself).  When I picked Logan up, it sounded like he lost his voice...I felt so bad!!  Every time he tried to talk all evening, that scratchy voice broke my heart!  So I took the day off and have had such a great day with my boys.

    It's ok to climb for a change!!

    Happy to be together.

    All eating lunch together!! And eating a fruit, vegetable, grain and milk!  Today has gone so smooth!  Maybe the soothing lullaby CDs I've had on all day have been hypnotizing the kids??
