3 Months!

Logan is 3 months today!!  I am home with my boys today (yay) so just have a couple minutes to share some fun facts about this age:

• At his 2 month appt, his stats were: 24" long (85%), 12 lbs 12oz (50-75%), 40.2cm head (75-85%)
• He smiles a TON! At strangers, in his sleep, during his middle of the night feedings...
• Last week he slept through the night 4 days in a row (8-9 hrs)...this week, not so much.
• He started daycare this week! The mornings are crazy for Shawn and I, but the transition has actually gone pretty well.  I miss my boys, but its a little bit nice to be back at work doing something for me!!
• Logan loves to be swaddled.  He has literally smiled a number of times after being swaddled.  Unfortunately he can't be swaddled at daycare (license rules)...
• He loves the song "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley.  It's what Ryder and I sing to him when he's fussy and it helps all of us calm down :)
• He is a super happy, content baby
• He is getting strong - he can hold his head up in the Bumbo for a little while (then gets droopy) and is getting good at tummy time

We love you so much Logan!!

Here are my favorite pics from Ryder's "3 year" photoshoot.  We took them a little early since I'm on leave and have a little extra time to shoot and process them.  Starting next week, I assume things will get pretty crazy!!

A Day in the Life

I saw this and it inspired me to create my own "A Day in the Life" collage.  These are from yesterday...in approx chronological order...Ry was at daycare for most of the day and Shawn happened to come home for lunch :)

Savoring Logan

With a week and a half left of maternity leave, I am savoring this sweet face all day long!  I can't help but take a billion pictures of him to try to remember him exactly how he is right now. 

I love this expression he gave me today - as if to say "Seriously mom...enough with the pictures! Let me nap already!" Okay Logan...I'll put you in your crib...then I can take pictures of you sleeping :)

Indiana Vacation

I took over a hundred photos while on vacation last week and it is soo hard for me to decide which ones to post!! Because of this, I thought I'd create a list of our top moments and start there...

Top 10 Indy Moments:
1. Ryder getting to go on the field at the Indianapolis Indians game in Louisville to throw the frisbee to Jake the Diamond Dog! His 15 minutes of fame achieved at only 2 years old :)

2. Ryder's first time off the diving board, followed by his first 360 spin off the diving board 

3. Logan's first roadtrip and vacation! The 1660 mile drive (RT) went great! 

4. Mom's good cookin' (and Craig's grillin) and lots of family time. They hosted 10 guests and 2 dogs all once! And everyone got along!

"[Auntie Christy], can you help me with my butt?"

Yes, he seriously said that...he's getting pretty good at dressing himself, but can't get the shorts over his bottom :)

5. Taking Baby M's first photos (maternity) - see previous post

6. My first backflip (and frontflip) off the divingboard in years!

7. Waking up to Ryder's "I wuuv you mommy" on my birthday :)

8. Spending pretty much every day in the pool! 

9. Logan's first "swim"...these boardshorts aren't just for looks anymore ;)

10. Watching Ryder & Logan play with Gma D, Craig and Mikayla - we miss you guys soo much, so these moments are super special to me.

"Not Top 10" (thankfull I only have 3 for this list!):

1. Learning Ryder gets carsick...twice...He's wearing Shawn's shorts in the pic below b/c his were buried in the trunk.

2. Being the victim of Logan's blowout at Ram Brewing (thankfully I could have a beer after that! Lol!)

3. Turning 30 - Eeewww!! A rum punch, Zac Brown Band, and pool time cheered me up ;)

Cutest Belly in Nashville [Indiana]

I was lucky enough to be able to capture baby M's very first pictures - while he / she is still in Christy's tummy!  We took these a few days ago while on vacation in Indiana.

Such a cute couple!!
